Description
Many animals, including dogs, experience very similar brain changes during aging as humans. Studies on dogs are bringing us a great deal of understanding about how the aging process happens, because of the genetic diversity across breeds. Just like humans, many animals experience age-related declines in brain function. In this webinar, we will explore how the brain’s structure, function and chemical composition changes as animals age, with Dr. Croxson, who is an expert in memory and age-related diseases such as dementia. We’ll discuss how we can best understand and support aging animals. You’ll also hear about how some new research suggests that dogs might hold the key to understanding our own aging brains.
