Description
ADDP member Laura Haywood will present findings from her research project completed for a Veterinary Physiotherapy course. Laura explored the critical link between pain and canine behavior, investigating whether physiotherapeutic interventions, such as physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, can successfully reduce pain-related behaviors. Through five detailed case studies, including her own dog, Laura will share how targeted therapies impacted both physical comfort and behavioral outcomes in dogs diagnosed with conditions such as hip dysplasia and lumbar pathology. This presentation will offer valuable real-world examples of how integrating physical rehabilitation may support the work we do as behavior practitioners.
