Description
This is a recording of a 90-minute live webinar, presented by Tom Candy CCAB, CCBC, CSBS, exploring how to design and implement behavior modification plans in challenging environments such as shelters, multi-animal households, and under-resourced settings. Using the H.A.P.P.I.E.R. framework, Tom addresses assessment, health considerations, emotional needs, environmental influences, and record-keeping. Attendees are guided through practical tools including the Three Rs (Risk, Reduce, Resolve), S.M.A.R.T. goal setting, and case studies that illustrate how to adapt interventions to real-world constraints while maintaining safety, welfare, and effectiveness.
