Description

This four-module course helps learners build informed, compassionate, and practical relationships with dogs. It combines behavioral science, wellness practices, and real-world application to promote a stronger connection between people and the dogs in their lives. The course begins with veterinary care, covering nutrition, grooming, preventive health, and first aid. Modular two introduces canine communication, helping learners interpret body language and emotional cues. Module three explores behavior and development across the lifespan, introducing reward-based training and behavior modification along with enrichment strategies to support mental and emotional well-being. The final module examines the historical and cultural relationship between dogs and humans, encouraging reflection on how these roles influence modern-day care and building the human-animal bond. Across all modules, the focus remains on welfare-centered practices that support both dogs and the people who care for them.
