This is our foundation workshop. The primary focus of the workshop is communication with dogs. We discuss extensively on how dogs communicate and rely heavily on videos of free ranging dogs as well as pet dogs to analyse this. We also cover how we can use body language to communicate with dogs, particularly how we can use body language communication to reassure dogs, how to draw boundaries, how to invite dogs to come to us (particularly in the case of street dog rescues) and how to insist dogs do not come towards us (particularly to stop a pack of street dogs approaching us). Being based out of India, we do lean heavily on learning from street dogs, but we also use the findings of scientific studies and the input of experts, to help us understand this topic. We also cover the topic of lifestyle management for dogs, functional fitness, long leash management, basic dog anatomy and ergonomic equipment. It is a self paced online course.
