Description
Loose leash walking is a foundational skill for service dogs and pets, yet it can be challenging to teach, especially for clients with mobility disabilities. This course provides professional trainers with practical strategies, handling techniques, and accommodations to teach loose leash walking safely and effectively. Participants will learn to adapt modern, reward-based training strategies to meet each handler’s unique needs, troubleshoot common challenges, and support client’s success with this difficult behavior. The course includes detailed video presentations, training demonstrations, handouts and a short multiple choice quiz.
